How to “half” Manifest

Published by at 7:51 pm under financial prosperity, manifesting

Hi all,

I would like to share with you an experience I had this week, which can only be described as “half-manifesting.” I would be interested on your comments in it.

I have been working with various techniques to Manifest more Money into my life. One of these has been clearing the chakras, particularly the base chakra (where the energies of money and fear are held) with Dyan Garris’ Money and Manifesting Book and Teleclass.

My friend Neil Long has also been running a course called Creating Money, based on the work of Sonaya Roman.

One of the processes in that course has been to set an intention for a monthly amount of income and to create a vortex of energy to draw that into your life.

The figure I had set for myself with that exercise was £25,000 a month. That is a figure that would allow us to accomplish a lot of things in our lives, not least , it would allow my husband, Greg, to give up his job and concentrate full time on his stunning photography- and also help me with home-educating our daughters.

Anyway, I had been practising techniques from both sources for a few days and on Thursday of last week, 29th May 2008, I had a somewhat bizarre experience with money.

A friend of mine had called to visit and we were talking about my Angels of Abundance website and my new product, Meet Your Angel Relaxation and the series of those that I am planning.

She told me how strongly she could feel the presence of Angels in the room.

That same morning I had been doing a bit of financial juggling, to make sure everything got paid for the end of the month.

I was expecting a transfer of around £20 to come into the account.

When I checked the bank balance, I could not believe my eyes!

I really did not know what to make of it and thought I must be dreaming.
There in the account was £20,979!
Nearly £21,000 staring back at me from the computer screen!

I had such a rush of mixed emotions and questions running through my head.
Could that be right? Was that a bank error? Was it mine? Was it a gift from the Universe?

BTW, computers can be a great way for the Universe to gift us extra cash!

The questions continued- did I dare take it out and spend it? was the bank going to come back and claim it back?

I decided I would leave it there and not touch it. If it was still there the following morning, I would assume it was a gift from the Angels and the Universe and I would keep it.

The next morning it was still there, yet I was not wholly convinced it was mine. I could not quite bring myself to draw on it. Some part of me doubted that it was truly mine.

Or perhaps that it could even be that easy for money to come to me.

It sat in the account all through the day on Friday. It was so tempting to draw it all out. It was so tantalising. So near ….. and yet….. was it really mine?

Could this really be Manifesting in Action?

I was starting to get used to the comfort and security that having that much cash in the bank was giving me. I was tentatively starting to plan what I would spend it on.

When I checked on Saturday morning, it had gone.
The bank had obviously decided they had found their error and reclaimed their money.

Other luck seemed to desert me as well. We only had one number out of 6 on the Saturday Lotto.

I did, however, have a terrific response to my Meet Your Angel Relaxation audio.

I felt very encouraged about creating the next one- “Meet Your Angel and ask about Money”.

I think maybe that really is a case of teaching what I most need to learn!

So the questions I have been pondering are:
1) Was that money a gift from the Universe and some part of me pushed it away?
2) If that was the case, why did I push it away?
3) Was it a sign that my manifesting skills are getting better and that they perhaps just need a little fine-tuning?
4) Should I have withdrawn it all and then argued the point with the bank when they came asking for it back?
5) How do I clarify to the Angels and the Universe that, when money comes to me, I would quite like to keep it and be able to spend it for myself?

Any thoughts on this would be most appreciated.

I would certainly welcome any suggestions and ideas on how to add in the other “half” of the manifesting process i.e the receiving and keeping part.

With abundant blessings.
Amanda Goldston

    Dear Amanda,
The virtual money flew in and flew out. Is it $ you need to manifest in the mirage of the world, or inner gifts and treasure, which can never be withdrawn from you. Perhaps your inner gifts, and the intention of sharing with the world, the virtue of generosity will create a new flow. Just a thought,
    Blessings to you,
    Sophia

One more thought, there is also the morality issue. Conventionally, you seemed to know in your heart that it was a bank error and that it did not belong to you. It wasn’t a clear gift out of the blue infinity for you, or you would have been given ownership with the $. Perhaps you need to clarify: blessings that are meant for me in alignment with laws of love, abundance and morality. Many of us feel we are taking something from others when we receive. Joyful Generosity for those who have less that we have, out of compassion for them, may be an avenue to create new abundance, and does not take anything from others.
May you be blessed with inner and outer treasures, and help others with your gifts.

Amanda: It is as Sophia so eloquently says, manifesting is a co-creative process in which intention and will are aligned in a universal way. And to provide some further insight to your questions:

Did some part of you push this away? If you believe that, you have to look at your underlying belief systems that somehow still say “I am unworthy to receive.” If you belive this, you will find that you have challenges not only manifesting money, but with co-creating and manifesting in general. We have to open a flow to receiving and that begins with opening a flow in the root chakra. (Which is where the energy of money happens to reside as well.) One of the ways to open the flow is to clear limiting belief systems that were taught to us, one of which may well be “I am unworthy to receive.”

It is easy to understand if you think of it this way: Women are taught that it is not ok to have the root chakra open. So, from early on, women are taught to close up the “receiving” part of themselves on a root, base level. No wonder women in general have challenges with receiving! At the same time, we are biologically designed for it.

Manifesting is a process. We do it with not only as a skill we develop with our minds, but as a whole mind, body, spirit integration.

When you consistenly allow for “flow” which includes giving and receiving, and when you completely understand money as energy and as an exchange, and then when you understand how energy flows, that is all the universal clarification you’ll need. There won’t be a question about it. You won’t have to do anything extra. This energy will flow naturally along a clear path. To do otherwise, is to keep trying to manifest with your mind, rather than co-create in alignment.

I do find that people (not just women) that have been taught to close up the root chakra have challenges not only with money and the other energies that reside in the root, but also with the integration and multi-dimensional process of manifesting. There is tendency to “live life in the mind” rather than in the mind, body, and spirit as a whole. We just cannot manifest with our minds. We are not biologically designed to create this way. We cannot create a child with our minds. You see? As you just discovered, to try to do so creates limitation. We can “attract” with our minds, as you found out, but when we’re doing that we’re doing it in a limited fashion and in a fashion where the wants, needs, and desires of the ego self are not aligned with what is true. I hope that helps a little bit.

    Blessings,

    Dyan

    Hi Amanda,

When I want to manifest something, I find unless I have complete faith in the angels to provide what i want, and know that in acquiring it, others will benefit also is the key. On occasion however if it is not brought to you, sometimes your angels have something much better in mind, in which case patience is important. Wanting something immediately, as I have done is somewhat ego based and may not be the best thing for you at this time eg. not having the money may spur you on to complete a project which in itself will bring abundance. The key is to recognise that this may be the case, and reevaluate what you can do to help your angels co-create this abundance you seek.

    Hi Amanda,

If this interesting bank experienced had happened to me, I would say that I am providing to myself evidence that I CAN manifest in the way I wasn’t sure I could.

I wouldn’t have spent the money either because of the way it came - through a mistake. Someone might have lost their job! I wouldn’t have felt “right”. I see it as a light-hearted, smiling higher self saying “See, you can (but just find the right way!)”

I think the way it will show up for me is as a result of channeling my gifts. Perhaps this is true for you - through your new products (Angel Relaxation). It appears to me that every time we create something that helps others we are putting a lot of positive charge into the Universe and, like a boomerang, it comes back through smiles, Love, friendship, and the support of what we are doing, created from a place of Love and passion.

Jim Carrey kept a cheque in his wallet that he wrote to himself. It was for $1,000,000 and, not long after he wrote it, he earned it on a film he starred in. Why not a cheque for $25,000. with a stipulation stating that it is your regular monthly payment, from the Universe! : )

    Cheering you on!
    Nancy : )

  6. Ellyon 02 Jun 2008 at 7:30 am

You asked and you received. The Universe showed you it was possible.

I agree with what someone else said, that you need to be more specific and clear about exactly how that money comes to you (i.e. not illegally, all above board and for the highest good of all concerned etc).

Perhaps it was too much of a jump? A common manifestation mistake is to want to go from zero to megabucks, that’s too big a jump and there is no way you would really be able to accept that. I would suggest setting your intention for a smaller amount and build up to the £25,000. Remember it took a while for Jim Carrey to manifest his megabucks (it didn’t happen over night I think it took well over a year), and he had to take several proactive steps along the way, accepting whatever came his way at the time to build up to it.

This was also a test to see just how materialistic you are. It was a test of your integrity. If you had withdrawn the money and got into a battle with the bank over it (even tho it was their error) that would be extremely heavy energy to attract into your life, and would you really have wanted that?

It was a test and it sounds like you passed with flying colours!

P.S. One of my favourite manifestation affirmations which I use is: “I am open to receiving money (or whatever you want to put in here) from many unexpected sources”.

This means that I don’t try and anticipate where the money will come from, it leaves me open to wonderful surprises as well as receiving payment for my gifts and the work I offer.

If you want to clear base chakra issues to help you get started, we have a ‘Red Leaves’ essence which does the job brilliantly.

    Blessings

I think part of the manifestation process is to allow for it to happen in unexpected ways. The money arrived, but somehow it didn’t quite feel right perhaps because you couldn’t attribute it to any effort on your part. Most of us have been taught that we need to work for our money. So manifesting a large amount out of thin air goes against the grain of conditioning.

Try creating new scenarios in your mind where such a bank deposit could occur. Make it a possibility, then a probability. Allow for your good fortune by realizing all the good you could do with it for yourself and others. If you think you need to work for it first, then having the cash show up in an unknown way could make you a little uneasy.

Love your work, Amanda… and all the wonderful posters here!

    Hi all,
Thank you everyone for your insightful and helpful comments. I had a few other comments via email, some of which I have permission to reproduce here.

    From Miguel:

“What can I say Amanda, These things sometimes happen. But I am sure that it was a universal test. The universe has its own mysteries and reasons. But from what I gather, I am pretty certain that your due for a much bigger surprise. Just wait and see and in these few days that are coming, You will be getting some very good news. Now why is it that I can never get any insight when it comes to giving myself advice is strictly beyond me.”

  10. Amandaon 02 Jun 2008 at 10:01 pm

    Another comment came from Joan.

“I have to tell you how I see your “half manifesting”….
I think it was a practice session. Remember the moment when you believed it and decided just to spend it?? It was a “window” to a future reality. It all happened, I think, to give you a better picture of what it would feel like. Now you can pull up that picture in your mind — for real — anytime you feel like it………. lol and make a poster board. or image board. i wish you had printed out what that bank account looked like with the money in it!! but you can re-create it!!

    right??”

Yes, Joan, I can recreate it because it shows as an In and Out transaction on my bank statement, so I can still see it every time I look at it.

    Hi all,
Just adding some other comments I received by email to this post. Thank You, everyone.

    Form Shirl:
“Your work is beautiful and inspiring. Truly, don’t know if it is a matter of “half” manifest or was the fear of believing you could actually receive the money you were asking for that sabatoged your keeping it.

I would imagine that some miracles are to hard to believe the possibility of its realness but I believe this aspect is also a piece of the law of attraction. You seem to definitely be on the right
track based on that which you create to share with others.

Continue to do what you love, believing that it is truly valuable for the “whole” and I believe the rest will work itself out. I strive to walk my own walk of the talk I talk. Good luck and thank you for all that you bring.”

  12. Amandaon 03 Jun 2008 at 9:57 am

    From Neil Long:

Well at least it’s a bit of a coincidence!- to say the least!

My immediate thought is… maybe….. You “wanted” it …but maybe in a “well it would be nice if” way, rather than a “done deal” way! But that is merely a guess.

But all things considered it is a bit of a coincidence don’t you think!

    From Gary,

    Amanda,

You are the second person to tell me money appeared in your account mysteriously. The other person spent the $44,000 US for a new bathroom and other home improvements.

For me I think the “bank error in your favor” allowed you to have a taste of all the wonderful things that could come to you when the money is really yours and not just a computer mistake.

I think you were also wise not to spend; otherwise, you’d have to find someway to pay back. Perhaps work overtime or take out a loan.

By the way, I do enjoy your website.

    From Kate via email:

    Dear Amanda

I too had a similar experience with money. I asked for money to pay specific bills which worked out to be just over $2000 and the same day over $2000 appeared in my bank account. I didn’t know if the bank had made a mistake either and decided not to spend it just in case. Then I received a letter from the government saying this is an amount that was owed to us and yes it was mine. I’ve come to realise that money comes to us from places we have created.

Last time I asked for hundreds of thousands of dollars just to see and my dear grandma ended up getting sick and near deaths door and if she passed away I would inherit a lot of money but i quickly sat down praying that my grandma get well and asked the universe to forgive me. This I believed was a reminder to be careful of what you ask for. Instead I should have perhaps asked the universe to fill my business with customers who where happy to pay for my services and for them to pass the message on and to visualise people coming from all over to spend money at my shop.

I have done that and it has worked abundantly. It seems I to am in need of it again as are most people.
Sending Positive Universal Energy and Love to you

    Thank you for your emails

    Kind Regards

The LOA has become a man-manipulated field today. Every guru comes up with his own book, methodology and his bag of tricks to manipulate the Universe into giving away what it is apparently withholding.

True, everyone should practice according to his own light.

All that I want to say is let us stick to the fundamentals. Tricking our own subconscious may or may not work. But trusting God and feeling His ever presence will bring us close to divinity. In that condition, we shall NOT feel a state of want even if such a material condition exists.

We have to keep endeavoring to reach such a state of mind. And every disappointment or seeming failure is the road to growth. Failure is a sign that we are not on right path or we are not taking the right steps.

One guru tells in his ebook that when do it wrongly we may end up with wrong or funny results such as the one you had. Of course, God, who is Love, Law and impartial will never deprive one to give to another. He doesn’t need the aid of errors to demonstrate truth.

I too had a similar experience such as the one you had. My bank once credited a large amount in my account at a time when I needed money. In fact, I was half-starving. But I approached the bank and they immediately rectified the error. And I had to spend some one hour extra there to fix the error!

They told me banks keep more than two copies of each account as back up in different computers and in different locations and such errors will be detected sooner or later automatically.

I soon found some one who gave the money and I was able to pay it back within three days - quite unexpectedly.

The point is not to get excited (thus giving a reality to error) at such accidental errors of the database system. When we give a reality to error that’s what we reap. These kind of events only mock at our belief system. We have something serious to learn from them. In fact we should do our best to correct errors also from our thoughts whenever we notice an error on others’ part.
